Von `Bonjour, monsieur!` zu `Guten Tag, Herr!`: Texte kamerunischer Germanisten als Instanzen des Sprach- und Kulturkontakts

Abstract

While the study of interactions between French/English and Cameroonian languages and cultures is well-established, language and culture contact phenomena in German as a Foreign Language in Cameroon have often been neglected. This article presents texts produced by non-native users of German in Cameroon as sites of language and culture contact. The study focuses on phonological, orthographical, lexical, syntactical, semantic, pragmatic and textual aspects and reveals the overwhelming influence of French, English and several indigenous language and culture patterns on/in the production of oral and written texts in German. The article ends with suggestions for further research, namely in the area of intercultural grammar and cross-cultural pragmatics, and the training of teachers of German.

REZUMAT

Dacă cercetarea interacţiunilor dintre limbile şi culturile franceze, engleze şi camerunene este bine pusă la punct, atunci studierea limbii şi culturii germane ca fenomene străine în Camerun a fost neglijată timp îndelungat. Articolul înglobează analiza unor texte în germană, produse de camerunezi, care ilustrează evident contactul între limbă şi cultură. Articolul ia în vizor aspectele fonologic, ortografic, lexical, sintactic şi pragmatic ale acestor texte şi abordează influenţa covârşitoare a modelelor limbilor şi culturilor franceze, engleze şi indigene asupra producerii de către camerunezi a textelor şi discursurilor în germană. Articolul finisează cu un număr impunător de sugestii cu privire la cercetările ce ar trebui desfăşurate în continuare în domeniul gramaticii şi pragmaticii interculturale (franceze, engleze, indigene, germane) şi în cel al pregătirii calitative a profesorilor de limbă germană ca limbă străină.
