Lexicographical Presentation of the Core Verbal Nouns

Abstract

The present article throws light on the lexicographical presentation of the verbal nouns in a series of dictionaries of the French language. The analyzed definitions of the verbal nouns prove that there is no complex lexicographical presentation of the concept of  action denoted by the verbal nouns. We propose a definition that may be good for dictionaries, used by the majority of French language speakers, learners, and researchers.

REZUMAT

În articol, supunem analizei descrierile lexicografice ale substantivelor verbale într-o serie de dicționare ale limbii franceze. Acestea arată că nu există încă o prezentare lexicografică complexă a conceptului de acţiune, nominalizat prin substantive verbale. Iată de ce propunem, pe paginile acestei lucrări, o definiţie pentru „acţiune”care ar putea fi inclusă în dicţionare de tip diferit.
