The present paper aims to comment on some significant aspects of the article "The Pied Pipers: Diderot and the entertaining philosophy" by Colas Duflo, a French philosopher and researcher at Jules Verne University of Picardie. The central point of Duflo's argumentation is determined by the idea that considering philosophy as an entertainment is a feature that explains and justifies Denis Diderot's oscillation between literature and profound reflections on human condition and truth of life.
